Presented to the city by George Hermann, over the years added on the Houston Zoo, Miller Outdoor Theater, Houston Museum of Natural Science and the first desegregated golf course in the United States. Today the Hermann Park Conservancy (HPC) is a 445 acre urban landmark of Houston.
There are so many things that you can do here
The park has a 2-mile jogging track, a miniature Hermann Park train and a Butterfly Park at the Museum of Natural Sciences. The Miller Outdoor theater stages shows. There is a Japanese Garden and a Fragrance Garden by the Herb Society. Fantastic walking and biking trails. Quaint picnic spots by the lake side.
